My favorite thing to do at the beach is...soaking up the sun ALL day & not leaving until sunset. The ideal day involves a speaker playing music & alternating between reading/napping, swimming/yapping. The perfect end to the day is with ice cream and a friendly game of bocce.

My favorite thing to do at the beach is...#1 frolic in the water, #2 eat a perfect sandwich, #3 read a book while I digest to restart the cycle.
My favorite thing to do with Amanda and Jesse is... that I can do anything with them, from watching the Washington Spirit (WIN! or lose), cooking together or movie nights, and still have fun. Whenever I spend time with them, our lives fit together so seamlessly, and overflow endlessly with the joy and love of a life lived with friends.

My favorite thing to do at the beach is...read nine pages of a book before falling asleep and get wildly sunburnt. My second favorite thing to do at the beach is: lose a soccer ball in the ocean.
My earliest memory of Amanda and Jesse... a lot of moments strung together. From their time meeting, I remember vividly the sheepish smiles every time they looked at each other. It was so goofy and obvious – yet endearing – how they felt. I had never witnessed such a natural and immediate falling in love.

My favorite thing to do at the beach is... to lay on a towel and listen to a podcast or music that I will eventually fall asleep to.
My earliest memory of Amanda and Jesse is... Jesse’s 21st birthday over Labor Day weekend. Our family rented a house down the shore to celebrate, and Amanda came to spend the weekend with us. I remember playing card games and classic drinking games, laughing nonstop, and just having the best time together. Even then, it was clear how naturally Amanda fit in, and I knew she was here to stay.

My earliest memory of Amanda and Jesse is... a lot of "memories" of them at the Chesapeake house, but the first distinct memory is of them cruising through the National Gallery of Art my sophomore year of college.

My favorite thing to do at the beach is...to hide from the sun.
My favorite thing to do with Amanda and Jesse is... to have a truly engaging meal with one or both of them. Both Amanda and Jesse bring a joy and passion not only to finding or making great food, but in hosting and providing a space for everyone to savor being together while eating. Whether it's driving to Connecticut to meet Jesse at Pepe's, helping taste test Amanda's Shakshouka recipe during the pandemic, or being fortunate enough to just talk over a meal at their home - it is my favorite way to stay still and be present with the both of them. I recommend begging Jesse to cook at your next camping trip - his campfire cooking remains one of the best outdoor meals I've ever had.

My favorite thing to do at the beach is...read my Kindle under the umbrella with iced coffee in hand.
My earliest memory of Amanda and Jesse is... from a very important party. Amanda and I moved into our first apartment together and decided to throw our first party. Fond memories of inviting our crushes (her crush = Jesse; my crush = undisclosed), getting silly, and taking mimosa shots (orange juice & vodka) in tiny mason jars. Incredibly 2016.
