The Wedding Venue

the Wave Resort is located directly on the LONG BRANCH boardwalk overlooking the shore.

the resort is conveniently located a mile from NJ Transit, an hour from Newark Airport, and is easily accessible if traveling from Philadelphia or New York.

Whenever we are able to come to Jersey, we have a list of places we have to go to. Whether it’s in the dead of winter or the heat of the summer, you’ll catch us driving from beach town to beach town, eating pizza, enjoying Italian ice, sipping cocktails, and drinking a lot of iced coffee. When you’re in town for our wedding, we hope you’ll explore our favorite places down the coast.

For ease, we’ve compiled everything in this Google Map, but we also listed out our favorites by beach town.

Note: Nothing on this list is more than a 30-minute drive from the Marriott in Red Bank or The Wave in Long Branch.

Grab an iced latte and head to the beach!

Strollo's Italian Ice

Grab some Italian Ice and head across the street to 7 Presidents Beach. You can’t go wrong with any order, but we love the coffee and lemon combo.

Mogo korean fusion tacos

No matter your taco order, grab some kimchi fried rice and eat it on the beach.

Sip on a Ube Dalgona while you eat one of their seasonal pastries and a breakfast burrito.

Johnny Mac’s House of Spirits

This is perhaps the best dive bar in America. Make sure to bring cash to tip your pizzamaker and play some skeeball.

Get some marinated olives, bread & butter, and a Beekeeper's Lament. Pairs nicely with a Gin & Jam or an Offshore Espresso Martini.

Grab a coffee or some ice cream and walk the boardwalk from Convention Hall down to the Carousel at the end of the boardwalk.

Of all of the new pizza spots we’ve eaten at over the last two years, this holds the top spot for Amanda. After some time at the beach, bring your own chilled red & order a chopped salad, marinara pie with anchovies on top, and a ‘Lucci Soppresata.

One of the best parts of the shore is that you’re never far from a sweet treat. While not as big as their original location in Long Branch, this always hits.
